1.1 Job Scope Summary
The Contract Manager is responsible for the administration, implementation, and management of the Company's contractual obligations, commercial agreements, and contract governance to ensure compliance with concession agreements, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
The role provides commercial and contractual support to Plant Management by managing contract performance, variations, claims, correspondence, contractual risks, and stakeholder relationships, ensuring the Company meets its contractual commitments while protecting its commercial interests throughout the operational lifecycle of the Waste-to-Energy facility.
1.2 Job Responsibilities
A. Contract Administration & Governance
Administer the Company's O&M Contract, Concession Agreement, and other commercial agreements
Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, milestones, deliverables, and reporting requirements
Maintain the contract register, contractual correspondence, and document control records
Ensure all contractual documentation is current, controlled, and readily available for audit purposes
Support contract interpretation and provide contractual advice to Plant Management
B. Commercial & Contract Compliance
Monitor compliance with contractual KPIs, service levels, and performance obligations
Review contractual notices, obligations, and deadlines to ensure timely compliance
Coordinate submission of contractual reports, notifications, and supporting documentation
Monitor contractual risks and recommend mitigation measures
Ensure compliance with company governance, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and contractual procedures
C. Claims, Variations & Change Management
Manage contract variations, amendments, and change requests
Prepare and coordinate contractual correspondence relating to claims, variations, and disputes
Support the preparation and evaluation of commercial claims and entitlement submissions
Maintain records supporting contractual changes and commercial justifications
Assist in resolving contractual issues with clients, contractors, and suppliers
D. Stakeholder & Client Management
Act as the primary contractual interface with clients and key stakeholders on contractual matters
Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and Maintenance regarding contractual obligations
Support negotiations relating to contract amendments, renewals, and commercial issues
Maintain professional relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, and business partners
E. Contract Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor contractual performance and identify potential compliance risks
Prepare commercial and contractual reports for Plant Management and the Board
Maintain contractual KPI dashboards and action trackers
Support management reviews by providing contractual performance updates and recommendations
F. Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
Identify contractual, commercial, and operational risks affecting contract performance
Recommend improvements to contract administration processes and controls
Support development of contract management procedures, templates, and governance documentation
Promote continuous improvement in commercial and contractual management practices
